Marking it's 20th year anniversary in 2021, Miraikan is a place where people can have conversations and thoughts on how technology as a culture can affect societies and the future. Once succeeded by the astronaut, Dr. Mamoru Mohri, Dr. Chieko Asakawa was inducted as the Chief Executive Director in April. She is carrying out numerous activities under the 3 themes, "Science Communication", "Development of Science Communicators" and "Creating Connections." The museum has actively conducted open lab for kids, workshops for adults, and various other events to create a better, brighter future. The museum also offers conference rooms for events and seminars to the public.

The next gen tunable white, Synca's color temperature and seasonal color changes give endless possibilities

The conference room, "Jupiter", uses "Synca", which can change both the color temperature and color using the same fixture. The intent was to broaden the usability of the room by simply changing the lights. Indirect lights utilized existing structures, and simply replaced the lights with the seamless Linear 32 series. 100mm diameter downlights are installed in 185mm diameter cutout holes using adapter plates. GLARE-LESS downlights minimize fixture presence, and bring focus to the lighting effect. The lights not only can change color temperature and brightness through the day, but also offers seasonal colors to accommodate different events and activities in this room. Programmed scenes can be quickly selected using either the tablet or the wall switch. In the morning, lights are 4500K@100%, at noon 3500K@100%, and in the evening 2700K@30%. Seasonal colors such as Spring (Cherry Blossom 11-5), Summer (Blue Sky 11-11), Autumn (Golden 1-1), and Winter (Twilight 8-1) help create unique scenes. Also with Smart LEDZ, lighting groups are precisely divided, and allow the room to be used in sections. This is a good example of how Synca can expand the way a room is used by simply replacing existing lights.
