Tokyo International Cruise Terminal is the first terminal in Japan which can dock cruiseships the size of MS Queen Elizabeth. The building is designed to function not only as a terminal, but also as a space for various events and activities. Sitting along side in harmony with portside shopping malls and industrial facilities, the terminal welcomes visitors as the new landmark of the area.

The main three-story atrium waiting area uses CRI93 track spotlights and adjustable downlights, which highlight the grains of the wood louvers. The second floor lobby base lights achieves roughly 300 lux. Combined with indirect lights, the lights bring depth to the space. The outdoor deck area has two different spotlights with custom made hoods. One is a wide beam spotlight with a short hood to illuminate close range, and the other is a narrow beam with a long hood to throw the light further. Together they illuminate the ceiling evenly.
