Auditorium for Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology

This is one of the largest Auditorium executed in entire Southern India and in the words of Architect this project was both, unique and challenging. Unique because this is probably the only large capacity (2,500 sheets) auditorium planned on the top three floors of a seven-storey building & this one fact itself posed multiple design challenges including Lighting. This space had multiple constraints which meant meticulous selection of materials especially Lighting due to limitations on floor heights also.  
 
The interior concept divides the auditorium space into 2 distinct zones, one from the stage till the light-bridge and one from the light-bridge till the rear wall. Larger part of the ceiling is divided in panels of varying sizes and a unique solution using different beam angles and wattages was selected to optimize the quantity without compromising illumination levels.
